Art of Giving’s Global Outreach Reaches Another Height

  There is a special joy in the ‘ Art of Giving ’ and Prof. Achyuta Samanta , the founder of KIIT & KISS, has made it to another global fame for his obsessive bend towards humanitarian causes. His ‘Art of Giving’ has won the second position in the 2021 MacJannet Prize for Global Citizenship by Talloires Network and McJannet Foundation, USA as exceptional community work and civic engagement initiative by KIIT & KISS under the guidance of Prof. Samanta. The award in the second position in the world matters a lot apart from the financial support of $5,000 USD to bolster program activities. The amount has been transferred to KISS Foundation as per the request of Prof. Samanta. Out of 28 nominations from 15 countries, Art of Giving is placed in the second position among the 10 selected finalists from 8 countries. KISS Foundation Wins Hearts with Its Generosity

Dr. Achyuta Samanta is an esteemed member of parliament in the Lok Sabha for Kandhamal Odisha. While most people might know him for this, they seldom get to see the various charities he helps and is a part of, along with his own venture, the KISS foundation. This Indian social worker, educationist and philanthropist have also recently been a major part of a news story taking place in the Chhanchunia Village of Pallahara Block in Angul district. Although the story is further elaborated below, it would not be wrong to say that he just saved the lives of three orphans. Amulya Champia of Gennali Sahi passed away a few months back, leaving their family of 7 children to his wife, Subini. With the eldest daughter already married off, Subini had to take care of the 6 others along with her. The world is going through a very stressful situation for the last one and a half years. With the COVID pandemic showing no signs of slowing down, the death rates have only been increasing each day. In situations like these, seeing other diseases like Malaria and Dengue be prevalent in lesser developed areas only make the situation worse. Unfortunately, recently a family of 9 was reduced to just 7 when the kids lost both their parents at a gap of 3 months. Amulya Champia, a resident of the Chhanchunia village, was found dead due to unknown reasons a few months back. At this time, the eldest daughter of their family was already married by then, and Subini, Amulya's wife, had somehow managed the rest of the six.   The Chhanchunia Village in Pallahara Block is not one of the most developed places, and people are often attacked by common third-world diseases like malaria and dengue. Recently, for similar causes, there have been quite a few death cases in this Kunjam panchayat ruled village. One such family was that of Amulya Champia.               This daily wage earner very recently passed away from certain health ailments, leaving their family of 7 to his wife, Subini. The 7 daughters and mother were somehow taking on each day as a challenge, with the bare minimum to eat and wear. However, they managed to wed the eldest of the sisters but were left with the rest.  Only 3 months after the death of Amulya Champia, Subina also fell prey to the deadly disease of malaria. Recovered Covid Patients Praise KIMS Hospital for Dedicated Services

Amid the horrific state of Covid pandemic and increasing number of Covid positive cases in Odisha, many Covid patients have recovered from the deadly disease after being treated at KIMS hospital.               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d07WLWIIR9A The Covid 19 recovered patients have praised effort and cooperation of the doctors, health workers and staff of KIMS hospital. The hospital is being praised for providing best treatment and utmost care. A few patients shared their experience of getting treated at the hospital. Muralidhar Mahapatra, a patient who recovered after getting treated at KIMS hospital said, “The day we came here, that day practically my health condition was miserable. However, the right treatment began here. The health workers in KIMS hospital put their best service. KIMS hospital is like home to us.”

KIIT & KISS Provide Free Cooked Food to Needy People in 15 Districts of Odisha

  KIIT   and KISS provide cooked food to needy people in fifteen districts of Odisha. After the lockdown was extended till May 31, KIIT and KISS have started the drive to provide free food at 21 places including 18 places in 15 districts and 3 places in Bhubaneswar. KISS Foundation Provides Financial Assistance to 6 Orphan Siblings of Angul District

KISS Foundation takes responsibility of six helpless orphan siblings. Amulya Champia of Gentunali sahi in Chhanchunia village under Kunjam panchayat in Pallahada block in Angul district died last year. Following his death, Amulya’s wife Subini was somehow managing the family of six children. She also died of Malaria 3 months back for which the six siblings became orphan. The eldest of the seven siblings is married. The rest 6 siblings are facing much trouble to maintain themselves. Rashmita is the eldest of these 6 siblings. Actually, the love and affection disseminated by the mother become the stepping stone of encouragement for the children to give to others later in their life. Based on this thought, the 8 th  Art of Giving Day is being celebrated across the world on 17 th  May 2021. The Founder of Art of Giving, Dr. Achyuta Samanta has picked  'My Mother-My Hero ' as the theme of AOG for this year to spread the essence of loving others and sharing happiness among them unconditionally. It is deemed to be a university and is the only institution in India to get a “Five Stars Rating” in the QS Star Ratings System. The results were first published on 27th April, last Tuesday.
