The Asia Rugby Under-20 (Boys & Girls) Rugby Tournament is going to be held in Uzbekistan on 5th & 6th November, 2022. A selection trial cum coaching camp for the same was conducted by Rugby India in collaboration with Sports & Youth Services Department, Govt. of Odisha & KIIT – Deemed to be University from 01st October 2022 at KIIT University premises. KIIT-TBI Identified by MoD to Nurture Defence Start-Ups

The KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) has been identified as one of the five incubation partners by the Ministry of Defence to build the capacity of Defence related start-ups and mentor them towards scale. This is one of the major achievements of KIIT-Deemed-to-be-University in its quest for joining the Government-led initiative in creating robust research and start-up-based ecosystem in the country.  The KIIT-TBI will be a major partner for the innovation for Defence Excellence (iDEX) programme, the announcement of which was made during the DefExpo 22 at Ahmedabad on October 18. The KIIT Deemed-to-be-University has made a significant jump in the Times Higher Education ‘World University Ranking’ for 2023, being placed in the cohort of 601-800 as against 801-1000 in the previous year, reflecting its sustained focus on quality teaching, research activities and a steady rise in its global reputation.                                The latest ranking by the London-based group could not have come at a better time for the University which is celebrating its Silver Jubilee Year and has planned a series of initiatives to showcase its academic achievements. High Academic Performance by KISS Students in 2022

  The world's largest residential tribal institution,   Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences   (KISS) has always excelled in various fields due to the proper care of students and a conducive educational environment. This year the students of KISS have achieved high academic performance.   Four   KISS students   have succeeded in   Odisha Civil Services Exam . They are Raimat Tudu, Mantu Khamari, Hemant Puta and Nilamadhav Patra. Raimat Tudu came from Mayurbhanj district, Mantu and Hemant came from Balangir district and Nilamadhav came from Kalahandi district and studied in KISS. This year, a total of 392 candidates have passed the Odisha Civil Services Exam, including four students of  KISS . Advocate General of Odisha Shri Ashok Kumar Parija today took over as the new Chancellor of KIIT Deemed to be University . Shri Parija took charge of office from Professor Ved Prakash who completed his tenure on August 10, 2022. Welcoming Shri Parija, Dr. Achyuta Samanta , Founder of KIIT & KISS said, “Shri Parija is a renowned Odia person. In the capacity of Chancellor, Shri Parija will advise the University for the next five years.
