India Today Healthgiri Award to KIMS

  KIMS or the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences here garnered the prestigious and highly sought after India Today Healthgiri Award 2021. This good news came at the 7th edition of their Safaigiri Awards held on Saturday, October 2, 2021. While KIMS got this award for one of the topmost private hospitals serving the country in combating Covid-19, the Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi achieved the award for the best Government hospital in the country. Dr. Randeep Guleria, the New Delhi Director of AIIMS, announced this award while it was presented by the Union Health Minister, namely Mansukh Mandaviya. The award was received by Dr. Ambika Prasad Mohanty, the Principal of KIMS. Dr. Achyuta Samanta , the founder of KIMS, KIIT and KISS, was thankful to the India Today group for selecting KIMS for this major honour. KIIT CONNECT Program Orientation Program for 2021-Admitted Batch Students of 14 Schools

On October 5, 2021, The Orientation Program for 2021-admitted batch students of 14 Schools took place as part of a 12-day KIIT CONNECT program. KIIT & KISS Partner with UNESCO MGIEP for Online Course on Social and Emotional Learning

KIIT & KISS sign a partnership agreement with the UNESCO MGIEP in New Delhi, India to deploy the Self-directed Emotional Learning for Empathy and Kindness (SEEK) online Course for students and Faculty. The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) based in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, India signed a partnership agreement with the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) to provide the online Self-directed Emotional Learning for Empathy and Kindness (SEEK) course for KIIT-KISS staff and students in a phased manner. KIIT Provides Assistance to Families of Covid-Deceased Staff

KIIT and KISS take various welfare initiatives for its employees from time to time as per advice of Dr. Achyuta Samanta , Founder, KIIT & KISS. The entire world has been severely affected by the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. India and Odisha have also not escaped from the impact of this deadly virus. Lakhs of people affected by Covid have lost their lives all over the world. In view of this pandemic, KIIT Group of Institutions had declared a special assistance package for the families of Covid-deceased employees of KIIT Group of Institutions in 2020. India’s First Public CPR Kiosk Installed by KIMS

  India alone reports around seven lakh cardiac arrests every year from varied causes. And then there are 85% of these cardiac arrests happening outside hospitals like railway stations, homes, bust stops, market places, airports and various recreational facilities. Approximately 90% of the individuals facing these cardiac arrests outside hospitals die because of the lack of proper systems in place. CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, specifically when performed immediately, can double and even triple the chances of survival of a cardiac arrest victim. Many Hands-Only CPR kiosks have thus been placed at different high-traffic areas like malls, hospitals, railway stations, airports and educational institutes to save the lives of individuals suffering from cardiac arrest outside hospitals.
