  KIMS or the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences here garnered the prestigious and highly sought after India Today Healthgiri Award 2021. This good news came at the 7th edition of their Safaigiri Awards held on Saturday, October 2, 2021. While KIMS got this award for one of the topmost private hospitals serving the country in combating Covid-19, the Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi achieved the award for the best Government hospital in the country. Dr. Randeep Guleria, the New Delhi Director of AIIMS, announced this award while it was presented by the Union Health Minister, namely Mansukh Mandaviya. KIIT & KISS sign a partnership agreement with the UNESCO MGIEP in New Delhi, India to deploy the Self-directed Emotional Learning for Empathy and Kindness (SEEK) online Course for students and Faculty. And then there are 85% of these cardiac arrests happening outside hospitals like railway stations, homes, bust stops, market places, airports and various recreational facilities. Approximately 90% of the individuals facing these cardiac arrests outside hospitals die because of the lack of proper systems in place. CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, specifically when performed immediately, can double and even triple the chances of survival of a cardiac arrest victim. Many Hands-Only CPR kiosks have thus been placed at different high-traffic areas like malls, hospitals, railway stations, airports and educational institutes to save the lives of individuals suffering from cardiac arrest outside hospitals.
