KISS & KIIT Inks MoU with NGMA

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) & Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar signed an MoU with the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Ministry of Culture, Government of India on 29th November 2021. Workshop on National Tribal Talent Pool Conclave at KISS-DU

MoTA- The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI or the Government of India and the National Tribal Research Institute, New Delhi, along with the Government of Odisha, SCSTRTI and KISS-DU , conducted a 2-day workshop on the National Talent Pool Conclave in joint collaboration on the 23rd and 24th of September 2021. The workshop was organised with the objective of developing the scholastic and cognitive abilities of the tribal scholars by offering them a good learning environment along with recognition, support and contribution. The program was also conducted with the motive of enabling the tribal scholars to hone their entrepreneurship and research skills. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has emerged as a devastative disease, especially in Post-COVID days. AICF to Open National Chess Academy in KIIT & KISS

Sanjay Kapoor, the President of AICF or All India Chess Federation, along with Bharat Singh, the Secretary of the Federation, announced plans of setting up an all-inclusive, first-its-kind residential National Chess Academy at KIIT and even at KISS. This unanimous decision in this context was made at the Central and General Council Meetings of the AICF conducted at Jaipur in Rajasthan on September 24, 2021. KIIT School of Languages Organises Online Panel Discussion on IELTS Preparatory

KSOL or KIIT School of Languages conducted an Online Panel Discussion to welcome a total of 129 students formally from several Departments and Schools of the KIIT-DU or Deemed to be University to its 8 varied Language Proficiency Certified courses of the 3rd Session from July to September 2021.     Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, the Registrar at KIIT-DU, Dr. Saranjit Singh, Director-IEC & Placements and Dr. Biswajit Das, Dean, KSOL, graced the event. They motivated the students who have newly joined with their insights and remarks on different industry perspectives of learning a foreign language. Glad to share that eleven KISSians have achieved phenomenal success in NEET this year and thereby selected for admission into MBBS programme at various medical colleges. Out of the eleven successful candidates, five have been able to qualify for enrolment  at Government Medical Colleges. The galaxy of geniuses at the Kalinga Institute of Medical Science has added one more star in it. Renowned physician Dr. CBK Mohanty has joined the institution today. Dr. Mohanty, an eminent physician and former Director, Medical Education and Training has on Saturday joined the KIMS as the Pro Vice Chancellor.  As a renowned doctor Dr. Mohanty has a good reputation in Odisha. Prior to this, he has served as the Director of Medical Education & Training (DMET), Superintendent of SCB Medical College and Hospital, and Head of the Department, Medicine SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Good news for patients that he will also advice patients in KIMS OPD on particular dates. KISS, UNDP Ink Statement of Intent for Tribal Development

  Kalinga Institue of Social Sciences (KISS) signed a Statement of Intent with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 2nd November 2021 to work for tribal development and sustainable development in Odisha. KIIT Selected as Nodal Center for World University Games

KIIT Deemed to be University has been selected as the Nodal Center for World University Games (WUG) 2022. KIIT has been selected for its international standard infrastructure. Chandigarh University is the second nodal center for WUG. The decision was taken at the 31st AGM Sports Board of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) held at GNDU Amritsar on 30th October 2021. The selection of Indian University teams and conduct of Indian camps for WUG will be done through these nodal centers. During the Board meeting, members highlighted the excellent work done by KIIT Deemed to be University and its Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta towards development of sports and sports persons.
