His mother was the donor. Dr. Achyuta Samanta , Founder, KIIT & KISS and MP, Kandhamal met differently-abled girl Subhadra Gumajira, a resident of Teranti village under Sukuli block in Mayurbhanj district during his one day visit to Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj. Subhadra's father died some years ago, while her mother strives to make both ends meet working as a daily wage laborer. Though Subhadra has an intense penchant to pursue her study career, she is being compelled to rely on others to attend school. Getting Subhadra's plight from media Dr. Samanta extended his helping hand to Subhadra. He arranged the financial assistance to Subhadra on behalf of KISS Foundation and making arrangements to provide two thousand rupees as a monthly allowance.
