KIIT & KISS Felicitate Olympians, Provide them Financial Assistance of Rs. 1 Lakh Each

In a rare show of warmth for their efforts and successes at the Olympics in Tokyo, KIIT made the day special through a felicitation ceremony for the ones from Odisha. KIIT students and Olympian sprinter Dutee Chand, fencer C A Bhavani Devi, javelin thrower Shivpal Singh and hockey stars Birendra Lakra, Amit Rohidas, Deep Grace Ekka and Namita Toppo were felicitated by KIIT & KISS at a special ceremony in KIIT on 28th August 2021 in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Dilip Tirkey, Chairman, Hockey Promotional Board, Odisha Guest of eminence, Mr. Rahul Bose, Actor, Director, Writer, Philanthropist and Board Member of Rugby India; and Dr. Achyuta Samanta , Founder, KIIT & KISS.   KISS is a residential educational Institution providing free education, accommodation, medical care, vocational, athletic and artistic training to 60,000 Indigenous children. The students come from 62 different tribal communities within the region, of which 13 are particularly vulnerable tribal groups. This is the real life case of Baset Besra, an orphan tribal child belonging to the Santal tribe of a remote village of keonjhar district in Odisha who has found a new life with the help of KISS. Gorandijodi is a small remote village in Saharapada Block of Keonjhar district. This village had no communication facility earlier. Now a pucca road connects the village with Sal trees on both sides. The village consists of -20- Adivasi families. Baset is the fourth child of Budhuram Besra and Raimili Besra. His father is a mason by profession. The mother also works as a daily wager. KIIT International School Shines in CBSE Class X Results

Despite all the uncertainties young students of KiiT International School , Bhubaneswar never fail to make the School proud no matter what the circumstances have been. In these testing times, the consociation of KiiT-IS students, teachers and staff could uphill the task of shining with colours while the whole world was in turmoil.                     KiiT International School stood out with all its students passing in first division in the CBSE Class X results which were declared on 3rd August 2021.
