New Benchmarks In Healthcare Services CM Inaugurates KIMS Super Specialty Hospital & Cancer Centre

Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated the KIMS Super Speciality Hospital and the KIMS Cancer Centre with state-of-art infrastructure and high-end facilities in the presence of Naba Kishore Das, Minister Health and Family Welfare Govt. Of Odisha, Dr. Achyuta Samanta , Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS. During his visit, the CM undertook a trip around the KIMS campus on a battery-operated vehicle and appreciated the new facilities. The CM appraised the patient-friendly initiatives that have been developed in KIMS.  Today, KIMS has expanded its infrastructure with 1600 beds fully air conditioned hospital for general public and economically weaker section people. KISS Students Post 100% Result in +2 Exam

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has posted an impressive performance by achieving 100 percent result in +2 Science and Commerce Examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). The results were declared today.  The School, which offers free and quality education to tribal students, has won accolades for maintaining its stirring achievement year after year. Minakshi Mallick topped in School in Science by securing 88 percent marks, while Pitabas Tiaka topped in Commerce by securing 80 percent marks. As many as 31 students from particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) passed in the Science stream, out of which 18 have passed in the first division. The students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Monday organized a victory celebration to commemorate Draupadi Murmu’s elevation as the 15th President of India.  The day was observed in a big way by 30,000 students of KISS as Murmu, the tribal leader from the Mayurbhanj district from Odisha, took the oath of office. She becomes the first woman from the community to hold the highest constitutional position in the country. Her anointment becomes all the more significant as it coincides with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, marking 75 years of India’s independence. Murmu’s association with KISS , the largest tribal university in the world, goes beyond her visits to the campus. Her son-in-law Ganesh Chandra Murmu was a student of the institute. Spectacular Welcome to Chess Olympiad Torch Relay at KIIT & KISS

The entire KIIT family comprising students and staff put up an impressive show of support for the upcoming Chess Olympiad at Chennai. Students of both KIIT and KISS lined either side of the main road to the campuses and extended a spectacular welcome to the Chess Olympiad Torch Relay with thunderous applause. The relay passed through amid unprecedented reception with over 50,000 cheering students lining the road – 30,000 from KISS and 20,000 staff and students from KIIT. More Than 250 Teachers Join KISS

Over 250 teachers have been appointed to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). They will be posted at five different KISS campuses in Odisha. The newly-recruited teachers were handed over appointment letters today by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS at a special function. They will be entitled to the same benefits as government school teachers, such as EPF, Mediclaim, ESI, etc. The candidates are all trained, and most of them are from the rural tribal districts of Odisha. They have been selected following a transparent recruitment process. A committee was constituted with various subject experts to guide through the entire selection process. Applications were invited through a media advertisement. In response, more than 18,000 candidates applied. Of them, 11,000 were shortlisted for written tests. A total of 4000 candidates qualified in the written test and demonstrated their skills in a demo class. Among them, 1100 candidates were called for personal interviews. ...

Glenmark Aquatic Foundation, a CSR activity of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) have announced a 12-year partnership to promote the full spectrum of swimming from grass roots development to competitive swimming KISS- Bhubaneswar, in the state of Odisha. This partnership will provide students from KISS and KIIT the opportunity to learn swimming and pursue it as a competitive sport. Ian Els, an experienced South African coach, will be leading the programme will follow the principles of globally accepted long-term athlete development (LTAD) to produce international swimmers for Odisha and India.  Aquatic sports has the maximum number of medals at the Olympics. NIRF 2022 Rankings: KIIT 20th Best University in India

Bhubaneswar, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University has been ranked 20th best in the country among all public and private universities in the NIRF India Rankings 2022, which was released by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Education Minister in New Delhi on 15th July 2022. Rath Yatra Celebrated with Farvour at Shrivani Kshetra

The auspicious Rath Yatra celebration was observed at the Shrivani khetra of KISS on 1st July 2022 amid religious fervour and gaiety. More than 20 thousand devotees participated in pulling the three decorated chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. The three colourful wooden chariots were festooned with flowers, appliqué and mural paintings. The Pahandi and other rituals like Mangala Arati, Mailama,Tadapalagi, Rosha Homa, Abakasha, Surya Puja, Chariots, inauguration etc followed by procession of deities from temple sanctum to the chariots began in the morning as per the ethics and rituals of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Temple of Puri.
