Dr. Achyuta Samanta’s Effort towards Social Development

 If there is one man who has been working relentlessly towards the development of the rural and tribal areas; it is Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Dr. Samanta is one of the most respected names when it comes to social welfare works in India, and today he has many achievements to his credit. Dr. Samanta has founded KIIT and KISS; two of the most leading institutes in the country, whose primary objective is to impart quality education to the children, who belong to the backward section of our society. Dr. Samanta, over the years, has emerged as one of the most respected names; and no wonder that he has been awarded with an honorary doctorate by the Daffodils University.

 

                                    

 

Dr. Samanta has always believed that it is the youth, which is the driving force of our society. With immense of potential, which is waiting to be channelized in the right direction; this section of our society can bring about the change we all desire. However, a huge quantum of the youth in our country comes from the rural and backward section. As a result, they remain deprived of all the resources and facilities which are required to nurture and unleash their talent and potentials. This is where Dr. Samanta has played an instrumental role. He is one of the foremost names in India, when it comes to launching different programs for the development of the rural section of our country. He has realized that women empowerment is absolutely essential, if a change is to be brought to our society, in true sense. He has played a very crucial role towards the process of women empowerment; by addressing some of the most serious of social issues, which have deprived women of their rights. He has always voiced in favour allowing women the independence and freedom, by giving them access to the best quality education.

Dr. Samanta has also played an important role towards development of sports and assisting talented sportsperson from different domains. Both KIIT and KISS two of his major foundations have produced several sportsmen, who have represented India at the highest level.

Dr. Samanta is a name to be reckoned with when it comes to bringing about an overall development of the society. His efforts are also being recognized at the global level. KIIT has a branch in the UK, where it is operating with the same vision; which is social development.
